Partners may drift—not because love has disappeared, but because pain has built walls around it. Old wounds awaken protectors that push, pull, or retreat, leaving words sharp and silence heavy. Yet beneath those defenses rests a tender longing to be seen, heard, and held. Abbey warmly invites couples into a space of compassion and clarity, where each partner’s inner experience is honored. With gentle, trauma-informed guidance, she helps explore both protective and hurting parts, fostering safety and rebuilding trust. Together, couples discover how vulnerability can be met with kindness, attachment wounds soothed, and intimacy deepened. With practical tools to repair ruptures and strengthen connection, Abbey walks alongside couples who may be holding on, letting go, or seeking a way forward.

Using a Psychodynamic framework, I try to help clients make sense of themselves through past experiences as well as present relationships they are in. Drawing as well from mindfulness-based practices, trauma-informed interventions, as well as tools & techniques I continue to learn along the way, I’m interested in helping the client better navigate their present situations with a stronger understanding of themselves. I firmly believe that the better we know ourselves, the better we are able to navigate challenges and make the changes towards a more satisfying lifestyle. Hi, I am Gary Faustino. I am one of the older counselors in Bulatao Center. The segment of society I prefer when it comes to individual psychotherapy are adults (18 years old and above). Being a married person myself with five children and three grandchildren, I also deal with couples, marital, and family therapy. If you have spiritual needs that you want addressed in the session together with the psychological side, I can do that for you as additional input or perspective upon your request. I worked with a lay charismatic community for 20 years and I am an associate in the Center for Ignatian Spirituality. My psychotherapeutic approach in terms of techniques and frameworks is primarily ‘eclectic,’ or ‘integrated’ in present terminology.
